REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL -- RFP 2023-100-1 16 THE CITY OF CEDAR HILL Branding & Marketing Services Project A – Citywide Branding | Project B – Cedar Hill Nature Corridor WHITNEY PEAK HOTEL RENO, NEVADA INTEGRATED MARKETING CAMPAIGN Once the Fitzgerald casino in downtown Reno, the abandoned hotel had become an eyesore to the marketplace. A Chicago-based holding company ended up with it and decided to try the impossible – opening up the first non- gaming, non- smoking hotel in Nevada’s s econd city. Whitney Peak is named after the tallest and most majestic mountain in the Sierra Nevada range. Today the hotel enjoys an average 85% occupancy rate and introduces the tourism marketplace to the stunning beauty of Reno, Lake Tahoe and the natural wonders of northern Nevada.
